"I know that you all receive many of these requests for that great teacher to put for Teacher of the Month, but I really hope that Mr. Maxfield gts the opportunity to become one of the few that actually get chosen. Many of us at Ferris are leaving in wo months and lately there hasn't been too much good news, as you all may know. It would be really great to have something positive happen so we can end the year on a good note. Also, just recently, on Friday, March 25th Mr. Maxfield father just passed away so it would be a good uplift for him. I would also like to ask that if Mr. Maxfield is chosen as a teacher of the Month, if there is a possibility for something to be given to Ms. Klien, the teacher targeted to be killed by the 14 year old with the gun. This school os goiong through a tough time right now and I understand that it is not as bad as what had just happened in Minnesota but what has been happening with Ferris sudents, is the worst in years. So, with that I hope you all can please bring some goos news to this school and to Mr. Maxfield because it would mean a great deal to not only me and the other students that signed the letter, but also to Mr. Maxfield. He deserves it more than anybody I know."
