Letter from the nominating students:

"Mr. Maddigan is a great teacher! He interacts with us in a way that makes us want to work. He is one of the nicest teachers that a lot of us have ever known. He listens to us, respects what we have to say, and helps us figure out what to do. He helps kids work and he can play a great game of basketball. He doesn't nag at us and hardly ever raises his voice. He has helped Kyle learn to never give up, and now Kyle is liking school better and thinking of college. He is teaching Zack how to read, something Zack is eternally grateful for. He is teaching Stephon good self confidence, now Stephon is COOL. He is helping Shane learn to make good choices, now Shane is hoping to go to college. He gives Jay a place to work during 3rd lunch so that Jay can eat with his friends at 1st lunch. He is helping Trent learn that the owrld doesn't revolve around him, and Trent is alot happier for it. He is a friend to Ben, giving him a place to go before he gets in over his head. He helps Max with math, and Max is looking forward to high school. He is helping William I. learn to work quietly, now William is doing better in his other classes. He is helping William C. with math and he went to see William in the Lilac Parade, William is very grateful for his support."
