1. Job Postings

· Post assigned jobs internally and externally

· Process internal applications

· Update/maintain Hire Status Report

· Update/maintain STCU.jobs and other recruitment websites

· Write/submit job advertisements

2. Recruitment, Screening and Interviewing

· Recruit qualified applicants for assigned jobs in an efficient and timely manner utilizing appropriate resources (which may include attending career fairs or other events).

· Screen applicants for relevant skills and experience.

· Coordinate interviews with appropriate managers.

· Conduct appropriate reference, background and credit checks on final candidates.

· Ensure new hires possess attributes compatible with STCU's brand, vision and values.

· Keep the Human Resources Assistant Manager informed on compensation trends and/or potential salary/market inequities.

25% Human Resources Performance

1. EEO, Affirmative Action Reports and Recordkeeping

· Prepare and maintain accurate and compliant records/reports for the annual EEO report and Affirmative Action Plan. Prepare records and reports as dictated by applicable laws and regulations.

2. Employee Relations

· Coordinate and/or assist in the coordination and delivery of Welcome Party.

· Assist employees and managers with general questions, issues or concerns. Refer complex or high level employee relations issues to the Human Resources Assistant Manager or Director, Human Resources.

3. Data Entry/Correspondence

· Assist with the entry of departmental information into applicable software programs for tracking purposes (spreadsheets, databases, etc.)

· Send appropriate business letters (external correspondence) as needed

· Prepare departmental e-mail communications (internal correspondence) as needed

· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

4. Compliance, Security and Disaster Recovery

· Maintain knowledge in and adhere to compliance standards for the department.

· Adhere to security procedures and fraud controls to protect members, staff, and assets.

· Recommend changes to the disaster recovery plan for the department.

· Perform additional duties as required by the Human Resources Assistant Manager, Director, Human Resources, or Vice President, Administration for efficient operation of the department and/or credit union.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. College degree in Human Resource Management or course work towards a degree in Human Resources (HR Management, Compensation Administration, Employment Law, etc.).

2. A minimum of three years HR experience with at least two years directly related recruitment experience required. Experience recruiting in the financial services industry strongly preferred.

3. Thorough working knowledge of personnel procedures and policies, federal and state laws, and regulations governing employment law.

4. PC competency required, including intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Power Point.

5. Excellent organizational, above-average time management, and critical thinking skills are required.

6. Excellent verbal, written communication (to include business correspondence), and proofreading skills are critical.

7. Ability to work independently and possess above-average dependability.

8. Ability to work with staff tactfully and professionally.

9. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive information.

10. Meets physical requirements of the job:
• Sitting and/or standing for long periods of time
• Ability to speak, hear and see
• Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse
• Some lifting required (typically no more than twenty pounds)
