90% Real Estate Loan Officer Performance

1. Relationship Development

· Identify, build relationships and attend meetings with strategically aligned special groups such as Spokane Association of Realtors, Spokane Mortgage Lenders and Spokane Homebuilders Association.

· Identify opportunities and suggest marketing campaigns to build strong relationships within the realtor community.

· Develop and nurture real estate business relationships to increase referrals, and achieve efficient real estate transactions while providing quality service.

· Maintain weekly business development call sheets.

· Develop a BDO referral tracking system to identify status of loans referred to Real Estate Department.

· Identify and coordinate opportunities with other departments maximizing their expertise to fulfill corporate objectives and extend financial aide.

2. Mortgage Loan/Home Equity Production

· Perform Real Estate lending functions for STCU members accurately, timely, and in alignment with STCU loan standards and procedures

o Interview and process First Mortgage and Home Equity Loan applications, ensuring accurate information

o Evaluate credit reports and review title reports, appraisals, inspections and supporting documentation; making mortgage loan recommendations and equity loan decisions while conforming to guidelines of STCU policies and/or secondary market guidelines

3. Compliance, Security and Disaster Recovery

· Maintain knowledge in and adhere to compliance standards for the department.

· Adhere to security procedures and fraud controls to protect members, staff, and assets.

· Recommend changes or improvements as needed.

· Recommend changes to the disaster recovery plan for the department.

· Perform additional duties as required by the Real Estate Assistant Manager or other designated staff for efficient operation of the credit union; includes the possibility of being assigned temporarily to other locations.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business or Marketing required. Equivalent work experience in real estate lending or business development may be substituted for degree.

2. At least three years real estate loan origination experience and at least three years experience developing and maintaining real estate loan relationships in a financial services or sales-related environment along with the development of a business plan for community outreach.

3. Strong communication (verbal and written) to include formal presentation skills.

4. Proficiency in Windows based applications to include the Microsoft Office Suite.

5. Ability to work with diverse groups of people to include members, potential members, employees, and community organizations in a professional and diplomatic manner.

6. Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision, while effectively identifying, organizing, and prioritizing multiple tasks at one time.

7. Meets physical requirements of the job:

· Ability to speak, hear and see

· Ability to operate a computer keyboard and mouse

· Some lifting required (typically no more than ten pounds)
