Help STCU to support Inland Northwest hospitals and medical facilities with your donation to the Credit Unions for Kids campaign from May 1 through June 2, 2006. Donations can be made for as little as $1.
CU for Kids benefits the Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization that uses every dollar to help children in our community cope with cancer, leukemia, cystic fibrosis, heart and muscular disease, birth defects, trauma, serious accidents, and child abuse.
There are three ways to donate:
Credit Unions for Kids is a collaboration of credit unions and business partners engaged in fund-raising activities to benefit 170 Children's Miracle Network-affiliated hospitals serving 14 million kids.
At STCU we raise money year-round by selling Quarter Collection Books, Candy Bars, CMN Balloons, and offering Skip-a-Payment for our members. Our employees also buy CDs, clothing, and other items to raise money for kids.
The needs at the medical centers range from miniature heart monitors and scopes for premature babies to dolls that help kids understand how to take care of themselves following surgery. Medical equipment is expensive. With the help of CMN, our hospitals are better equipped to take care of our kids!
The mission of the Inland Northwest CMN is "to generate funds and awareness programs to benefit children and affiliated hospitals."
Every dime of your donation stays in the community to benefit local participating hospitals. Nationwide, CMN-affiliated medical centers provided $3.5 billion in charity care last year alone. They treated more than 12 million children with cancer, heart and muscular diseases, birth defects, cerebral palsy, AIDS, and other illnesses, or victims of accidents, child abuse, or neglect. The medical centers treat the whole child, rendering service based on need, not the ability to pay.
