STCU raises $23,500 for Children's Miracle Network

Thank you for another record-setting year!

Coping with diabetes can make a kid feel a little like an outsider. But at Camp Fun in the Sun, everyone's an insider. Attending a camp designed specifically for children with diabetes means campers can let down their guard and have fun "with kids like me," as one child said. Thanks to STCU employees and members, more kids will have that opportunity.

The camp in Twin Lakes, Idaho, is one of nine local organizations and hospitals benefiting from the record $23,563 STCU raised for the Children's Miracle Network in 2008, through the Credit Union for Kids program. Some of the other beneficiaries are Sacred Heart Children's Hospital, Providence Holy Family Hospital, Kootenai Medical Center, and St. Luke's Rehabilitation Institute.

The donation comes from STCU member and staff contributions, the sale of over 2,000 CMN miracle balloons in May, cell phone recycling, and the sale of Presidential $1 coin collecting kits.

Each year, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals nationwide treat:

Credit Unions for Kids is a collaborative effort of credit unions around the nation, raising money for more than 170 Children's Miracle Network affiliated hospitals serving 17 million children each year.

Every dollar counts! Thank you for your generous support of STCU's fundraising efforts for kids.
