STCU helps 'shred' identity theft

North Branch sponsors Shred Day

Spokane, WA-With identity theft on the rise, Spokane Teachers Credit Union (STCU) will be hosting "Shred Day!" offering Spokane area residents a safe way to embrace their urge to purge. On April 29, from 7 a.m. - noon, the Recall mobile shredding unit will be available at STCU's North Branch located at 207 E. Hastings Rd.

The shred company will offer its services to the public free of charge - shredding personal documents that may invite the possibility of identity theft if thrown way in a common trash bin. Criminals need very little information to steal identities and garbage cans offer an abundance of information from paperwork such as:
