A: Their voices will be mute on Election Day.

As a U.S. citizen, you have the privilege to help shape the future of your city, county, state, and nation by voting on November 4, 2008. But first you must register to vote, and that must happen at least 30 days before the general election.*

Get registered

It's easy to register to vote. Here's how:

If it's easier, you can also register online to vote at the Washington Secretary of State. (Voter registration forms available in seven languages!)

Only felons, those declared by the courts as mentally incompetent, minors, and anyone who is not a U.S. citizen are ineligible to vote. Everyone else has the right to participate, the right to be heard.

What are you waiting for? Talk back to our leaders. Let them know who you like. And what you want. Be part of an historic presidential election. CU at the polls!

*Voter registration is a one-time process. If you've registered or voted before, you do not need to do so again. To update your name or address, contact the secretary of state or county elections office.
