Spokane Teachers Credit Union has beefed up password security for STCU's NetTeller® online account access service. The level of protection you desire depends entirely on you!
OPTION #1: If you like your current password, and you don't want to change it, simply leave it the way it is. End of story.
OPTION #2: If you want to maximize your security against potential hackers, you can change your password to make it more secure. You can do it right where you are!
Your password is the secret combination you use to access your funds at Spokane Teachers. The more complex your password, the less likely that someone else could ever guess your "combination."
Many members still use four-digit numerical passwords. Thanks to new improvements to STCU's NetTeller, you can now change your password to one that has up to 10 alpha-numeric (letters and numbers) and special characters. Statistics show that the chance of someone guessing a four-digit password is 1-in-10,000. But the odds of someone guessing a six-character, alpha-numeric, case-sensitive password is 1-in-606,355,001,344. If you use 10 characters, it's 1 in 43,438,845,422,363,213,824. That's an impressive upgrade in security for very little effort! Here's how to change your password online:
Your new NetTeller password can be composed of 6 to 10 characters, using any of the following arranged any way you want:
For added protection, NetTeller blocks access to your account after a certain number of unsuccessful log-in attempts. To restore access to your account, please contact the credit union.
