Summer travels will be better than ever this year when you need to locate a surcharge-free ATM to use with your STCU CheckCard. Simply send a text message to "MYCOOP" (692667) from your mobile phone and enter a zip code or address. Seconds later, you'll receive a list of nearby ATMs.

Text-messaging is available through the Co-op Network, a nationwide system of credit union ATMs. STCU is a Co-op Network member, so text messaging is free for members to use. (Standard text-messaging rates from your wireless provider may apply.)

Texting for an ATM is simple and easy to do:

  1. Text your location-address, intersection or zip code-to 692667 on your mobile device.
  2. In less than a minute, the service will call back with a list of the surcharge-free ATMs nearest you.
  3. To find additional locations, reply with MORE.

(Note: Service for T-Mobile users is scheduled to be available June 1, 2008.)

Personal navigation devices will soon be able to download the Co-op Network ATM database. Once you load the database, you'll receive turn-by-turn driving directions to the nearest surcharge-free ATM on the Co-op Network.

There are 25,000 surcharge-free ATMs available nationwide. All within reach of your mobile device. What could be more convenient?
