Government required ID and verification for opening new accounts

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires STCU and all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

That's why, when you open an account at the credit union, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that allows us to properly identify you. We may also ask to see or request a copy of your driver's license or other identifying documents.

Thanks for understanding!

Can I join STCU?

If you live, work, worship, or go to school in the state of Washington or North Idaho (Benewah, Bonner, Boundary, Kootenai, Latah, Lewis, Nez Perce, or Shoshone counties), you are eligible to join the credit union. Join today!
