What needs to happen to get $25?
First of all, a referral card must be presented at the time the person being referred joins STCU. That new membership must remain in good standing for 90 days. The $25 reward is paid within 10 days after the 90-day period to your account and the referral's account.

Who can be referred?
Just about anyone, well, except for those younger than 18. And of course there are a few membership requirements. But even those aren't tough to meet. Anyone who lives, works, worships, or goes to school in the state of Washington or Kootenai or Bonner counties, Idaho can be a member of STCU.

Can someone join online and still get $25?
Yes! After joining STCU by means of the online process above, please send an e-mail to referrals@stcu.org, and tell us:

1. Your name and phone number
2. The name and phone number of the STCU member who referred you (found on the card)
3. The three-digit OP# (found on the card)

Please be sure to include all three pieces of information, otherwise, we cannot process the $25 reward.

Isn't there a $20 membership fee to join?
Normally, yes, but we're waiving the fee for new members during this promotion.

Is there any limit to the number of people I can refer?
No, there's no limit to how many referrals you make, so start handing out those referral cards and spread the STCU love!

*Referral card must be presented by the new member at account opening to receive $25. New member account must remain open for 90 days and be in good standing for both the new member and referrer to receive cash bonus. Cash bonus will be credited within 10 business days after the 90-day qualification period and will be credited either to your S1 savings, S5 checking, or S7 money market, in that order. If none of these accounts are available, a check will be issued to the address on file. Membership fee is waived for new members during this promotion. New member must meet STCU membership requirements. Minor accounts are not eligible.
