STCU hires Southridge Branch manager and other key players.

As construction begins on our first Tri-Cities location, we're putting together a local team.

It starts with the G2 Construction team from Kennewick, which in June began work on STCU's first location, the 1.5-acre Southridge Financial and Home Loan Center at 4704 W. Hildebrand Blvd. Two more locations will be added in Richland and Pasco in 2019.

The three locations are designed to serve existing STCU members in the Tri-Cities area and to help meet growing demand for a credit union that welcomes about 1,000 new members every month. Founded by a handful of Spokane teachers in 1934, STCU now has more than 182,000 members.

Among the first STCU employees to begin work in the Tri-Cities are:

Jaleh Flinders, Southridge Branch manager.

Flinders is a Tri-Cities native and Kennewick High School graduate. She has worked for financial institutions for 16 years, most recently as a Numerica branch manager in Kennewick. She attended Olympic College in Bremerton, Wash., and is active in Junior Achievement.

Elizabeth Burtner, community engagement officer.

Burtner will work to build partnerships with local organizations and plan STCU events in the Tri-Cities. She earned her associate's degree at Columbia Basin College and her bachelor's degree at Washington State University Tri-Cities, where she studied psychology and sociology. Before joining STCU, Burtner worked in branding and communications with Kennewick-based FDM Development.

Jennifer Cunnington, home loan sales manager.

Cunnington will lead a team of home loan officers, serving members throughout the Tri-Cities. Based at the STCU Southridge Financial and Home Loan Center , Cunnington earned her bachelor's degree from Marylhurst University in Oregon, where she studied communications and public relations. Before joining STCU, she worked from Richland in sales-force training and development with Stearns Lending.

Team up!

STCU will continue hiring in the Tri-Cities through 2019, with plans to add member service team members, home loans officers, and other positions. Interested applicants can learn about working at STCU on our careers page.

We're a not-for-profit financial cooperative with 179,000 members, including 2,300 in Tri-Cities, and 21 branch locations in Eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Find out how you can join STCU.
